To help your kid have top-notch oral health, encourage these habits to keep your kid’s teeth, gums, and smile in the best shape possible.

  • Make sure your kid is cleaning their teeth regularly. Have them use a soft-bristled toothbrush that is child sized to clean their smile every morning and night.
  • Make sure your kid visits their dentist. Bring them to our office every six months.
  • Make sure your kid doesn’t eat many tooth-harming foods. It’s best to have them eat foods like fruits, veggies, and dairy products.
  • Make sure your kid doesn’t go to bed with a bottle or sippy cup of milk. Going to bed with a beverage other than water can cause baby bottle tooth decay.
  • Make oral hygiene fun. Do this by giving them oral hygiene tools with their favorite cartoon characters on them or by playing their favorite song as they brush.
  • Make losing baby teeth fun. Do this by having the Tooth Fairy visit each time a chomper falls out of the mouth.
