Dental anxiety is a common experience. If going to the dentist stresses you out, please let us know so we can make sure that your visit will be as comfortable as possible.

Try these tips during your next dental appointment.

  • Breathe slowly and deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.
  • Play with a squeeze ball, a fidget spinner or similar stress tool.
  • Speak up if you still feel discomfort after an anesthetic. Anesthetics work on different levels for each person. We want to make sure that you are comfortable during treatment.
  • Listen to calming music or a comforting audio book, especially if the noises of the dental office put you on edge.

If you feel anxious at the dentist, please let us know when you schedule your appointment and when you check in. We treat every patient with gentle care, and will do our best to make you feel at ease.
